When the going gets rough I get on there. Even if things are fine I like to take breaks from work to go on etsy, but I am more likely to buy something when stressed. I justify by telling myself I am supporting independent artisans or I am "recycling" by buying something vintage and I always bargain hunt. I use it for gifts for friends and family, but I use for myself and my family too.

I would be embarrassed if anyone could see the list of all the things I bought on there this year. I use everything I have bought for myself so it's not like it sits gathering dust in another room and I haven't spent above my means, but I think it's how I cope with stress. It takes my mind off things and I like the rush of knowing I found something unique at a fraction of the cost it might be in a store. I figure it's a LOT cheaper than say retail therapy with nice clothes, but I guess it's a bit odd to spend so much time there? I never got into ebay, but this....this is an addiction that isn't going away. It could be worse...right?[/quote]
