Alcohol messes with blood sugar levels and that alone can trigger a panic attack/racing heart/shakiness/inability to eat… I went on an SSRI 18 years ago when I found myself having a drink to “calm down” before a social event. Worst was when I smuggled a thermos of vodka and iced tea to a medical appointment (then never drank it).[/quote]
