We’re in the car market for a 3 row, non-ginormous suv for the first time in a decade. We tried the pilot (meh) and the Highlander (tight in the back but lovely) but we keep reading about how awesome the Kia Telluride is. Back in the day kias we’re lower quality/reliability than the Toyota/Honda’s. Is that no longer the case? And if you have a Telluride, what makes it so great in your opinion? Would love to get opinions and suggestions about the Telluride or other cars with a 3rd row that people love. Tia!
I'm pretty much in the same boat. Test drove Pilot today. The third seat is very spacious and the drive was really nice. The exterior is sooo bleh. Went to the Toyota dealership planning to test the highlander but I climbed in the back of the highlander and it was absurd. My kids are only 9 and 11 but over 5' and I think that would be pretty miserable for anyone to sit back there for more than 5 minutes. So did not bother with the test drive. Just to warn you. The kia dealerships all have the tellurides priced roughly 9-10k above MSRP. 55k-60k for a telluride seems ridiculous. I plan to go test drive one out of curiosity but no way would pay that much. Might expand search to Acura MDX, audi... volvo? Dont know what else. Feel very uninspired, but I guess the Pilot will be my fallback plan.
