Yep…I’ve discussed my beloved Mercedes on this board before. It has 258553 miles on it. I want to keep, (this is why it’s still sitting in my drive way) but it now needs a new engine. And last summer I dropped $3500 on hatch gate repair, new alternator, a radiator issue and something else. Then in the fall I poured more money into, when I should have cut my losses for new tires, drivers side widow motor repair, $200 oil change and spark plugs.

I considered a Mercedes 350 GLE, drove it for a week as well. but after a lot of inner conflict I realized, I just didn’t need that type of status symbol anymore. But man, it drove like a dream as well. When you rev that engine, whew! For an old lady like me, it was like being in Daytona. And I definitely love the hefty look of the tires on the German brands, Telluride fails on this (will be getting the Telluride lifted to accommodate wider tires to duplicate this look). I’m not saying the cars are in the same class, they aren’t. The Mercedes is way better, just not $25k better (for a tricked out trim). [/quote]

OP, I will say the Honda Pilot is really nice, just not my style. It DOES have wireless Apple/Android car play. It DOES auto lock doors when you walk away.  Has the mechanism to not let you forget a kid in the back ((Telluride does too). Gas mileage was slightly better on the Telluride. Pilot has lots of “stuff” compartments in the front. It’s definitely worth a look. I considered the Pilot when I found out about the mark up all of these dealers were charging on the Telluride and just needed a car. Honda Chantilly let me keep one for five days to consider and to try to make the sell, I had just already fallen in love with the Telluride.
