We’re in the car market for a 3 row, non-ginormous suv for the first time in a decade. We tried the pilot (meh) and the Highlander (tight in the back but lovely) but we keep reading about how awesome the Kia Telluride is. Back in the day kias we’re lower quality/reliability than the Toyota/Honda’s. Is that no longer the case? And if you have a Telluride, what makes it so great in your opinion? Would love to get opinions and suggestions about the Telluride or other cars with a 3rd row that people love. Tia!
So excited, I’m getting my Telluride on Monday after a three month wait. (I was finally able to get it at MSRP!) I’m going from a Mercedes GLS to the Telluride. My Mercedes died and as much as I loved the brand and luxury, I was tired of paying for premium gas and $200 oil changes. Test drove the Telluride in August 2020 because I happed to read the write up regarding it being Motor Trend’s 2020 Car of the Year and then started seeing all of theses YouTube videos with folks fawning all over them. Test drive it again January 2021 when the Benz finally really died and was ready to buy. Unbeknownst to me the Telluride became the hottest SUV on the market and ever dealership in the DMV was selling at 5k to 12k over msrp (looking at you King Kia and Ourisman Kia Chantilly)! Anyway about the vehicle, Dulles Kia let me keep one for a week to help me decide (did not buy from them), here’s what I like: 1. The third roll is very roomy. My 6ft nephew said it was very comfortable and was easy to get in and out of. 2. Kia Warranty 10yr/100,000 miles (3yr//30,000 for electronics). 3. Love all the safety features. Please google this for more info. 4. Just loved the way it drove! Cons: No wireless Apple/Android car play. Doors don’t auto lock when walk away. For the 2022, don’t like the new Kia emblem. I mean it doesn’t drive like a Mercedes and I didn’t expect it to, but I felt incredibly safe and it had a heftiness to it that felt light at the same time. Being transparent I am getting the highest trim level. I’m a reluctant fan. My dead Mercedes is still sitting in my driveway
No apple car play? That’s a big minus. What’s the substitute they use?
It has Apple/Android car play but it's not wireless.
