Yes tell your dog to be quiet and when they don’t bark after you say the word give them a treat. Obviously if they continue to bark after you say quiet don’t treat. They need to understand the reward for not barking. You can also help to train them by putting them in a sit/down and treating when someone comes to the door so they are too distracted to bark.[/quote] Good to know that. I'll try to nip it in the bud.
