Thanks, I test drived the VW ID4, and I liked it a lot, but it felt slightly shorter than the SUVs I'm used to and the trunk space seemed kind of small for an SUV. Also, starting to lean more towards hybrids to accommodate longer trips.
We got the id4 and love it. Definitely roomier than my Mazda CX-5!
Thanks for that. Are you able to find plenty of charging stations on long trips? Have you ever GPSed one that wasn't there or wasn't operational? This would be my fear, but it may just be an unfounded fear of the unknown.
The Electrify America network, which VW set up as part of the Dieselgate settlement, has stations all over the place on many routes for long trips from D.C., which you get three years of free use of with a new ID.4. I've also seen a lot of other level 3 options on apps that list charging stations. Most of the EA sites seem to have between four and eight stations at each site, so even if one of them isn't working, I'd imagine it'd be OK. We just got an ID.4 and also love it, but we're yet to take a road trip in it -- doing three in the next month, though, so maybe I'll report back.
That would be great!!!
