I'm hearing about a large amount of teacher turnover in our ES. Are people aware of the same with their schools? Or is ours an isolated case?
Are you really surprised? With the amount of people who are open about their hatred of teachers this year, why would people stay? At least if you are a new teacher at a different school, you might start with a clean slate. The teacher turnover rate at DC schools are really high, you probably just haven't experienced it because until now, it wasn't as high at the northwest schools
 we have a little more turnover in our school due to retirements that were overdue anyway and a welcome opportunity for change. otherwise similar to any other year. teachers made and participated in an extremely frought political decision that heavily impacted their key stakeholders. if they expected no heat, they are terribly naive.
