If you're American and need to play a Brit, this can be accomplished (with a certain degree of preparation), much like if you're from NYC but need to play a character from rural Alabama. However, if you're American and need to play a Swede -- in Swedish - no amount of dialect coaching will make you sound authentic unless your part is literally five words long.
