The age of the fridge makes no difference! OP didn't disclose the issue with the fridge!! Therefore as the buyer I would demand the full replacement price for a new like-kind fridge.  Why is this a hard concept to grasp, especially in this market![/quote]

Woah calm down. On the contrary, in this market the buyer is lucky just to score a house- regardless of the ice maker status.

Op- try unplugging like the person above suggested, if that doesn’t work you might have to get a repair man to come out and fix it. It shouldn’t be more than $500, I would guess around 350 which is what it cost for me about one year ago. Don’t stress about it. [/quote]
