Fells Point is more strollable with the shops, you can duck in and shop as well as eat. But you can water taxi over to the Inner Harbor and then walk over to Little Italy to eat. I've always been partial to La Tavola but there are amazing places like The Charleston if you want to go all out.

Mt Vernon is pretty, but less bread and circus than Fells. Though you can definitely enjoy a walk to Brewer's Art and have a Resurrection and their garlic thyme fries.

While the Helmand is an old fave, the Cazbar knocked my socks off when I went a few years ago. Spot on Turkish food, total hospitality, and the way they serve the Raki! All around divine. Not quite Mt Vernon area, but in-between Mt Vernon and the Inner Harbor.

Inner Harbor is amusing if you've not done it before, but loaded with tourists and full of subpar restaurants. There is much better seafood to be had at Fell's Point.
