Their belief (at the time--not sure who the teachers are now or what their attitudes are) was that the Montessori approach can serve all kids and that modifications to the model aren't needed, so if what they were doing didn't work for my kid, they just kept doing it instead of trying something different. We decided not to send our second kid to the middle school Montessori program after elementary (and kind of regret sticking with elementary as long as we did). [/quote]
