Why don't you help these children?
How can she help when their parents are in complete denial? I know someone whose son was diagosed at age 6 with bi-polar "tendencies." Over the years he has attacked other kids on school bus, the bus driver and was banned from bus. He threw chair, books, and whatever else was at hand at teacher in one school. Then he was put in a PACE school where he refused to do anything. He had to go to summer school and still sat and stared and did nothing. His grandmother was on oxygen and he pinched her cord to cut off oxygen and was turning blue when her daughter finally did something. He stole his grandmother's credit card and spent over $100.00 on ITunes. He stole from other grandparents and uncle. All of these were reported and judge in juvenile court kept giving probation. Once he was sentenced to juvie jail, escaped, and judge still gave him probation. About six months ago he tore a door off its hinges and was about to bash his mother in her head while she was calling 911. He took their dog, put in in a neighbor's shed, with chain so tight the dog was choking. His mother didn't tell the judge about this. Six weeks ago, he beat his mother on her head with a cell phone and she ended up in hospital for two days. Now he is in jail and Commonwealth attorney has said she will try him as an adult. He will be 17 and he is likely to get a minimum of five years in state pen. He won't last five minutes. All because his parents kept saying, "it's his disease and he isn't responsible." He is a menace to society and himself. This is what happens when parents, teachers, doctors, and juvenile authorities just give them a tap on the wrist.
