We've been relatively cautious, but once adults were vaccinated are pretty much willing to let our kids do anything that's not directly in the faces of other people. That's our risk tolerance. You'll have to figure yours. In case you were wondering, in a bus with windows part way down there are 20-40 air changes per hour. Experts recommend at least 4-6, so this way exceeds those standards. There was a recent case of unmasked adults in a closed car for 2 hours spreading COVID to each other, so don't do that if you aren't vaccinated for sure.
The issue is kids will not be vaccinated so you only care about protecting adults, not kids.
No. My kids are low risk. They have less chance of dying of this than they do of the flu with a flu vaccine. I trust other parents to assess risk for their own families. Doctors and experts like Joseph Allen have validated this approach, and these people are far from COVID deniers.
Its not just about dying or hospitalizations it about them getting sick and possibly having long term health issues. I think its sad you aren't concerned about your children or other children's health. This is why Covid continues to spread. Yes, they are covid deniers. We need to stop the spread and this behavior is not stopping the spread.
