It's one of the most effective things to do to stop bad cops jumping from job to job. Large departments can do the background investigations. Smaller ones often have trouble. A national database of sustained charges would be helpful to all departments. And every major police organization backs this approach. [/quote] Wasn't Chauvin a job-jumper?
