Reviews? Considering the wood pellet one for my DH for his bday. I don't need a huge professional one.
My neighbor has one and has been happy with it. The pellets will help maintain a consistent heat. And they get REALLY hot so pizzas will cook quickly. My oven goes to 550 so I can do a decent pie on a pizza stone. I was considering an Ooni but ended up buying a smoker instead. I can make pretty great pizzas inside so I went with a different route but I'm still looking at it. That being said, if my wife bought me an Ooni that would be the best gift ever! :) If your husband likes to cook, that will be an awesome birthday gift.
If you don’t mind, what oven do you have that goes to 550?
Not the same poster, but my oven goes to 550. I didn’t realize that some ovens don’t. I also use a pizza stone and I let the oven warm up for about a half hour, so it’s good and hot before we put the pizza in. We’ve also used our Weber gas grill outside, but I’m not sure that’s any better than the oven.
Oh, sorry, forgot to say the oven brand. It’s a GE Profile with and induction stove.
