Not trying to be snarky,  but if you can't differentiate between electric mower and gasoline mower parts,  its going to be very  difficult for us to help you.

maybe you could possible start by identifying your mower with the make/model/serial number/age ect.  because as sure as god made green apples,  thev've made more the one model

all the being said,  I did a very simple google search "ryobi mower shuts off"

got three videos, all which point to the safety switch in the handle near the base of the handle/mower pivot area.

i would start here.  and FWIW  you can thank the idiots of the world who put their hands under running lawnmowers for all the safety switches.  which is likely where your problem lies[/quote]
