My advice is to make sure the parents of the kindergarten and prek students are tuned in. Last time, DCPS put a long grandfather clause in there so most families were not affected by the changes. I think the grandfathering covered all kids down to 2nd grade at the time (maybe even younger). So no skin in the game for most families and the youngest families had no idea what was happening since they had just started. Very clever DCPS. [/quote]
