Any other parents awaiting the D1 dead period to end so your DD or DS can choose where she/he will play next year? While two D3 coaches want my DS to commit, he continues to ask them for more time. Four D1 schools also accepted him, yet he is no closer to knowing whether any of these coaches will invite him to play. My DS is reluctant to accept a D3 roster slot only to later tell the coach he is leaving to join a D1 program. Time is running out, and I would welcome hearing from other parents facing the same situation. BTW, there were conversations at JeffCup that a lot of D1 programs saw players decommit last week ("Black Monday"), resulting in roster turnover. What are other parents saying to their seniors? To the coaches?
You're not alone although I have no wise words for you. I have a junior so we have more time but we're in the same situation with D3 "offers", and a handful of D1's in various states of evaluation. I think D3's are capitalizing on the situation here and it's hard to blame them. It is a bit hard to forecast too with spring seasons ongoing, and the dead period maybe turning into a quiet period (rediculous!).
