^ This X 1. I clicked on here to say this. If you can swing it, the Audi etron is amazing. I have owned a Model 3 and ('16) and sold it for my '19 etron and the car is amazing. A few things. If you want just unparalleled acceleration, the Audi is not your car. It has fantastic acceleration, but it is HEAVY. The car weighs close to 6000 lbs...yes...6000! Even after saying that it is nimble and will shock you how quick it is, but it is not Tesla ludicrous or anything like that (Which you will use once if you buy a Tesla) Do not sweat the Tesla claims that Audi does not have the range. While the statement is factually true, Audi compensates for it range by having an insanely stable charging curve. It can maintain 150kW charging speed until 90%. Other manufacturers cannot touch that (Taycan is very similar but they are related companies) If you are looking at an EV you really need to have an outlet installed in your garage or wherever you are charging. At the end of the day, 99% of your time charging will most likely be at your house in the middle of the night. Your car will come with a charger, but not the outlet to plug it into. You will also eventually buy a third party charger because it will have further option you will be interested in (WiFi control and demand use charging etc...) But at the end of the day if you want the quietest EV with the best driving experience and the best suspension and the best interior, go test drive an etron today. You will be stunned by how quiet driving can actually be. (I am going to throw this disclaimer out now: The etron is built on an ICE platform which has been modified to be a pure EV. This means that some of those 6000 lbs is due to there not being an engine and transmission in the car to add rigidity. That and the battery is very heavy requiring further reinforcement. The first PURE EV designed by Audi will be released next year and will be called something like the e-tron Q6 and will be built on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) which is the same platform that Porsche is designing the Electric Macan on. Point being that the etron is an AMAZING EV, however, it is built on an ICE platform and there are a few compromises because of that. I would say that this will not impact your love for the car, but Tesla people love pointing out that the current etron is not a built from the ground up EV.)
