How did you like the 3rd season so far? How do you like the opening Episode?

I was shocked that they "killed off" his wife character like this  and wondering why? Any ideas?
Was it always a plan or some modification? Made me extremely sad. And kind of put a dumper on the entire episode.. that of course had so much more in store.. and lot of surprises.

I wonder if they changed the writer as the script seemed to take very sharp turns without any warnings.

It’s the same writers.  I saw an interview with one where they said they were well aware of fan base opinions (it’s been years since they shot the prior seasons!) and him winding up with Libby wasn’t popular.  They had to think of a way to move forward.  [/quote]
