I've never heard of wide spread engine issue. Mine (2004) never had either issue. It has 200k now. Op - if possible, get a second opinion from independent shops who specialize honda cars. I can look up Checkbook for reputable shops if you need help. Just tell me where you are. I'd also call Honda and see if there's anything they can do to help. Nothing to lose. [/quote]
