We are so looking forward to the Zoom seder this year. At last year's seder my mother had just been put on a ventilator due to covid, my house was almost falling down (major pipe and sewer problems, literal holes in the walls), my father was recovering from covid, my young kids had been pulled from school and were confused, we were going crazy trying to figure out how to work while watching them in a house that had no water service. We did a zoom seder with the rest of the family in multiple states and everyone was lonely and terrified because no one knew yet how covid really spread and there were no masks available even if one wanted them.

This year, thank G-d, my mother is still with us, everyone in the family over age 70 -- including my own grandparents in their 90s -- is vaccinated, we've acclimated to distance learning and work, the house is mostly repaired. I am so happy and grateful to do a Zoom seder and truly have everyone there. Hoping to be in person next year of course, but this year feels like such a gift.[/quote]
