False. Nobody is compelled to volunteer, some teams play at other tournaments (including Jeff Cup and Bethesda Premier Cup), and instead of doing more than four tourneys a year, top teams at older ages play in multiple leagues. Nobody is crying about not playing more tourneys except other clubs which apparently want more clubs to play in their tourneys. Other tourneys are perhaps $100 per kid - you really think anybody is getting rich by not sending their team to more tourneys?  You really think multiple families want to spend still more money on travel and hotels to Richmond or elsewhere to play if the competition is comparable or worse than what top teams play in this area or via MLS Next or Acela?
