I played travel from age 10-17 on a very competitive Club team--5 time state champs, regional champs, undefeated league, etc. I was so burnt out and knew I did not want to play in college. I also gave up 'HS soccer senior year. I made Varsity as a Freshmen and won State HS championship that year. It was spring season HS soccer and I was so over all the time sink, year-round soccer by then. I had a great Senior year. I still ran track. The only ones that kept it up were my teammates that definitely wanted to play in college, many were D1 commits. I had no passion left for it by Sophomore year, but hung on one more year.[/quote]
