We have 2 young kids. Here’s what we buy at Costco: -toilet paper -laundry detergent -trash bags -coffee -milk, butter, eggs, cheese, yogurt -sandwich bread (it comes in a 2 loaf pack so we use 1 and freeze the other), cereal/granola, oatmeal, pasta, rice, tortillas, pita bread/Naan -snacks: granola bars, fig bars, goldfish, graham crackers, applesauce, dried fruits, nuts -vitamins and over the counter medicines (kids’ and adults’) -batteries and light bulbs -electric toothbrushes and replacement heads -toothpaste, floss -shampoo, conditioner, body wash -contact solution -tampons and pads -my kids aren’t in diapers anymore but when they were we bought diapers and wipes there -Kleenex -paper towels -sparkling water -we are vegetarians/pescatarians so don’t buy their meat but I know a lot of people who do and find it a good deal. We buy fish and shrimp there often. -we don’t really buy fresh fruits and vegetables there anymore as they go bad faster than we can eat them but do buy frozen fruits and vegetables. If we had a larger family I would buy apples, bananas, berries, spinach, bell peppers, carrots, etc there. They do have good produce. -socks for the whole family. Sometimes other clothing. We’ve had good luck (my husband only buys his jeans from Costco, most of the kids’ pajamas come from there), and bad (I have bought a few shirts over the years that are poor quality but Costco is great about returns so that makes me feel ok trying things from time to time). -sometimes household items such as towels, bath mats, we bought our coffee maker there. Lots of good deals on household items and furniture. -alcohol. Beer & wine, hard liquor -gas...we always fill up the car there. Much cheaper
