But I think people are unnecessarily weird about registries. It's just a list of things you might need. I don't think anyone should ever feel obligated to buy anything from a registry, since sometimes people can't afford things and there are other ways to support people. But in case someone does want to buy something, registries are a useful way to make sure they know what would be welcome, regardless of whether you already have a kid.

And yes, I also assume that people who make registries for second children are often just trying to get the discount, in which case high five, that's what I'd do too.[/quote]
