I think for example that Tufts has more in common with the other NESAC schools than NYU and UC Santa Barbara, which it is tied with on the USNWR list - same with Emory being right next to UC Berkeley on USNWR (and by the way I discovered that Emory is 10 numbers ahead of Tufts in USNWR - which I find meaningless but I think the posters saying they aren’t peer schools are off base).
