Related to the discussion on vaccine equity and Columbia Heights having the highest number of cases but relatively few vaccinations, why can’t they put the vaccination appointment guide in Spanish? To make matters worse, they have it in a PDF that makes it difficult to even use google translate. I realize not everything can be put into Spanish, but this seems somewhat important. https://coronavirus.dc.gov/sites/default/files/dc/sites/coronavirus/page_content/attachments/Vaccination-Appointment-Guide-1-28-2021-GENRAL.pdf
It looks like this removed this from the website with the new registration system starting, but the the point still stands. We got significant funding from the federal government, but can’t spend $ to translate a 28 page document to help people register to get a life-saving vaccine.
You can cut and paste any document you choose into any myriad of free translation apps that can be accessed on the same device you’re using to view the original document itself. The resources are out there. People need to assume a little responsibility for themselves.
