DH can work from anywhere, and I currently am a SAHM. We have 4 kids and thanks to the internet, I happened upon a charter school in a different state that looks amazing. I asked some acquaintances about it, and they are putting me in touch with some current parents. It also is in a city that we’ve never lived in but seems like a good match for us - DH is unhappy with our current town. Would it be crazy to relocate for a public school? Of course we will make sure we can get in and have a backup plan in case we don’t. Also, this would be after the pandemic ends.
I think it's crazy to relocate just for schools if you otherwise like your current home and current city. In your case, however, the bolded suggests to me that moving is the right idea for your family. If your DH is unhappy in your current town, another town seems like a better fit, and on top of that, you've found an amazing school for your kids, then yes, you should move.
