Our principal gave a presentation at a PTA meeting last week and that is exactly as he described it- the students will be sitting at a desk on their computers, with the teacher also teaching on the computer.  My DC wanted to go back until he heard this.  At least at home, he can get up and walk around during breaks.  We haven't made a final decision, but leaning strongly toward not going back at this point.[/quote]
My kid in private has been in school while the teacher teaches virtual kids concurrently. He started off as virtual, then wanted to go back in person so has seen both. He says he vastly prefers being in person because of the social aspect. Even though they are separated at their desks (with plexiglass), they still talk to each other, have lunch, and go outside for recess. I have two kids in pgcps who are doing well academically in virtual but I want them to have this social connection also, even if it isn’t like the before times. I’m torn.[/quote]
