Are you looking for a weekend away or a day trip?

Liberty and whitetail are close if you are looking for a day trip. I prefer whitetail, my kids like liberty for the terrain park. Lift lines in the front of the mountain are longer at liberty. 
 Massanutten and Bryce are tinny, kids will be bored quickly.

Snowshoe- Biggest of the bunch. if you are looking to go this season good luck getting a weekend lift tickets. They are sold out most weekend. [/quote]

Op here. We decided on snowshoe and realized no weekend lift tickets are available like you said.

I guess it isn’t even about what is best anymore. Massanutten also has no weekend availability.

Try Timberline/Canaan for the weekend trip. Cute area and 2 ski resorts across from each other. Closer then Snowshoe and they just invested 10m to reopen Timberline[/quote]
