I get why McConnell was a threat when he was Majority Leadership. But what IS THIS? Schumer is Majority Leader. He has the power to set Committee Chairs, decide to bring bills up to vote, and assorted other crap. McConnell never ever gave an inch. He even lied - anyone recall Merrick Garland vs Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation? WHY are the Senate Democrats letting him run roughshod over this? Why don't the Dems let him filibuster for 15 hours or however long he can stand, have him pass out, and vote in the Rules of Organization?
