How can someone answer this over the internet?[/quote] Obviously there is no replacement for the opinion of an RE, however, there's no need in shaming someone for asking for some perspective before she meets with an RE. Seems like the whole purpose of this forum. I tried naturally for 6-7 months, got a diagnosis of unexplained infertility, and then did 2 rounds of IUI at 39 but have since moved on to IVF. IUI does work for some women even at 39+; just not for me. My RE seemed to lean toward trying IUI first with me. He likely would not have recommended going beyond 3 rounds though. [/quote]
