Here's what would help us the most (I say this as a daycare director)

commit to NOT playing with neighborhood children, stay in the school pod

don't hang out with lots of neighborhood families - the more people you expose yourself and your child to, the more your child's friends are exposed to through you.

don't get together in groups of 10 and more

wear masks, for gods sake!

don't see your families - I know you love your mother, but honestly, she may have been exposed to covid, you don't know.  (I haven't seen my parents in their 80s for 11 months, I do this for myself and my teachers and my childcare families)

and if you travel, be APPROPRIATE and QUARANTINE FOR THE NECESSARY DAYS afterwards

don't cheat the system - if your kid is sick don't send them. if your kid has a runny nose, don't send them.  if your kid feels sick, doesn't look healthy, etc, don't send them

we are all trying to do the best we can but now more than ever it takes a village.  Teachers and families are in this together.
