I think it depends when you go. We went to kiawah during the summer and felt very uncomfortable at the pool. We had a private house with heated pool in Hilton head and it was so easy to get delivery and groceries delivered. We could not get delivery or groceries delivered at kiawah and the Harris teeter at the entrance of kiawah was packed everyday we were there with a line out the door. I felt much safer getting my groceries delivered in Hilton head with my private pool and beach. JMO.[/quote]

We always do a private house with heated pool on Kiawah.  Rental companies like Akers Ellis have a service to stock the home with groceries before you arrive, or you can call ahead for pickup at Walmart, Harris Teeter etc.  [/quote]
