I would be fine to trade federal income tax for no statehood. We already get TONS of handouts from the Feds in DC. Just add it to the tab! This DC Statehood thing is so misguided.[/quote]

States with no income taxes have: high property taxes, high sales taxes, and/or crappy public services.  Which would you like?[/quote]
