What? Don’t you have a regular vet?
NP. The cost of spaying a dog in this area is expensive, so I can understand why people who may not be as fortunate as others on this forum, would ask for low cost spay/neuter services. We had our Aussie spayed at 6 months and it was almost $900, and that was at our farm vet's clinic, lord knows what it would cost in the city or close-in burbs.
It is expensive. We adopted a cat from the Humane Rescue Alliance. Because of the pandemic, they were putting off spays until six months. At my kitten's vet appointment, I inquired about the cost of a private spay. It was $800! I'm guessing that dog spays are even more expensive.
I don't have a pet right now but WOW, the $900 for the dog and $800 for the cat is expensive. I was thinking that getting a pet spayed would cost around $100. It shows how little I know about the cost of having a pet. I would definitely try some sort of low cost spay/neuter clinic before I paid $800-$900 for a vet.
