Same germs as at the factory and the box and the shipping but ok. Non drop side cribs are all the same (those are outlawed anyway) are just pieces of wood that you can wash with as much sanitizer as you want. 
I would buy the cheapest crib that takes the least amount of space. Spend the $ on a new thicker and hyper allergenic mattress ($100+ and more) and good organic cotton sheets. [/quote]

OP here. We are just not comfortable with buying a crib used. We plan to get one of the breathable mattresses. Are those good? We were gifted Burts Bees organic sheets. [/quote]
