For her at least, it really clicked this year.  I guess it helped that she did a lot of math worksheets over the summer to keep her thinking about it.  I'm not sure, but something clicked.

I guess my point is that sometimes the child is just not ready yet for what they want him/her to do and it might click a little later.  I agree, though, that long term tutoring just to stay in AAP would not be worth it.  I would be willing to bet there are kids in AAP who have tutors to get ahead knowing some of the parents there.[/quote]
