--in 10-20 years, none of this will matter in terms of career outcome, except for the fact that my AAP kid would be at higher risk of failure without a curriculum more adapted to his needs.

ps. There are lots of parts of the country with top top schools where nobody, I mean nobody, has ever heard of the AMC exams or Math Olympiads and they truly don't give a damn. If you're having your kids do these for any reason other than that they love math, you are wasting your time.[/quote]
