I'm PP. I didn't read the few responses before I wrote this, [b]so whoever wants to can slam me for being superficial and selfish[/b] but I will say that we have donated a lot this year to charities and families like a PP mentioned. I was thinking OP was asking for things that would truly be for her. For what it's worth, I asked for a new vacuum for Christmas but the coffee machine idea was something I had spoken about with a friend's husband and I know my friend will be thrilled with it since she misses her normal Starbucks routine since she doesn't go to the office anymore. I'm 8:34.  Not superficial and selfish.  In my family, it's never been acceptable to just give giftcards or donate to charity in someone's name.  There must. be. stuff. so I've learned to identify specific stuff[/quote]
