OP -- I get that you want your child to have a good, challenging school experience, but the reality is that life is sometimes boring.  How many times did you say to yourself during a high school or college lecture -- "I am SO bored!"  Doesn't mean we don't have to do it.  I think the other posters are right about encouraging your child to have patience or read a book.  I will also say, having been in a kinderg. class before.... many of these kids will RACE through a task in 20 sec. even though it is supposed to be a 5 min. project.  Then the kids what to move on to something else.... they are not in the habit of thinking things through or putting in details.  They often do the quickest answer/work when they could go back and add more.  Maybe encourage that.... she will have to edit her writings in first grade.  [/quote]
