The reason we are hesitant is our nice Margaux's nickname is  Maggie though she hasn't gone by it in years.   She will be 14  near 15 when our daughter is born, and she is happy to be  having a girl cousin even tough they are far apart in age.

I know we could just ask our niece her thoughts, but I don't want to if  1. it would be weird to use the name 2. I don't want to pressure on her, her mom ( my sister) can be kind of weird about these things, like she gets bothered if coworkers have the same outfit as her.
