Unfortunately, it was so she could see out the window and bark at people passing by. :lol: To be completely honest, OP's list of requirements makes me think she's not ready for a dog. They're not going to disappear into the background until you want to take them out to play. They need exercise, they'll have their own personalities, barking is the way that dogs communicate and not a negative trait, shedding is part of the deal when you have a dog or cat. It's fine to say you want a dog with lower or higher exercise needs, or that would be comfortable in a smaller space or okay without a fenced yard, but once a week there's someone asking for the Unicorn Dog Breed that isn't really a dog unless your kids need a companion, and it comes to life for that period of time and disappears from mind until your kid is bored again.
