The DC/Balt area's interest lessened over the years because the clubs needed to have a strict age group qualifying team and a class based team. It became too much operationally and it also exposed how many players were born prior to 9/1. Recently, only a couple of lower division HoCo teams even bothered going to the qualifiers. The NY teams borrowed players in the past but not to this extent of forming multi-club all star teams strictly to compete in what was supposed to be a club and team event. [/quote]
