We were ADT customers for almost five years, and when we wanted to go wireless and add some more equipment for a new door we had added to the house, they wanted to charge is $500 for equipment and $15 extra a month for the wireless service.  We ended up switching to Guardian, who gave us the new equipment for $150, and charged us less for monitoring than ADT was currently charging us.  Guardian was able to use our existing equipment, and only needed to add the new sensors that we didn't have yet and switch out the keypads.  Their customer service has been outstanding to date.
