We live on the second floor of a small condo building, and I will definitely leave my child in the lobby if I have to run up to our condo for something, because I can see the lobby from our door, she can't open the front door of the building, and we know all our neighbors really well. Context is everything. People make such a big deal about apartments versus houses with kids, but the truth is that there is a great deal of variety with both set-ups and one is not automatically good/safe and the other bad/unsafe.[/quote]
