I considered a pickup but think it would be harder to secure items.[/quote] a jeep is not the vehicle you want. access to the rear cargo area is not easy and straigh forward, the wheel wells in the back also limit storage. honestly a pickup truck for moving furniture is the ideal way to go as you can easily add extra tie down locations. to keep items secure. plus if you need to carry something tall sky is the limit. another option would be, and don't laugh, but a honda odyssey minivan has enough flat space behind the driver seat with all the rear seats removed for a 4x8 sheet of plywood to lay flat. if you need to have something covered.
