I would love it if my 3rd grader was into calico critters. I love those little dressed up animals. Dd is crazy for all things LOL but Ive only bought her a few. Her friends have big collections of them and when they play together they all bring theirs out to trade outfits and play. I think a pricier accessory of something they are really into would make a good gift (like a backpack in the theme of a video game/show/movie they like). See if she is into a specific animal (llama, corgi, cat) and get a pillow or stuffy of it. I haven't met a kid that doesn't like minky material pillows/blankets.[/quote]
